The Chair aims to make regular comment on issues affecting the Foundation and rural women in Australia.

Welcome to the website of the Foundation for Australian Agricultural Women. This site is the first stage of a long-term plan to provide a space for rural and regional women leaders of Australia to gain voice and presence.
We, the board and I, feel that voice and presence are a consequence of considered learning and discourse. With voice and presence, one can begin to effectively influence and be the change they want to see in the world. The ability to influence for what is good and right throughout all facets of our society is a key marker of true leadership.
In order to influence one needs to gain knowledge and experience. We are providing resources in the form of seminars, a reference library, gallery, forums, play room for ideas and an online laboratory for development of those ideas into innovative products, services and processes that can be offered to a greater market beyond our local community. Each of these will provide knowledge and experiences, which aim to develop voice and presence.
These initiatives will be rolled out gradually over the next couple of years. We will commence with knowledge gathering and will provide resources and references to issues that are of interest to rural women leaders. We will seek to form strategic alliances and partnerships for we cannot deliver such a significant initiative on our own.
The Foundation will continue to deliver high quality seminars and develop our online library as part of the first phase. Being able to access relevant information and adapt it to your current situation or problem is where the value of the library lies. We will be providing resources on how to do this so you as a member of the rural community can be part of the solutions that impact on all Australians.
It is an exciting time to be part of the Foundation and we look forward to you exploring our site and actively participating in the events and knowledge spaces we provide.
