Directors (2 positions)
POSITION PURPOSE:
This role will see you enhancing the organisation's reputation and reach through effective implementation of strategic communication and marketing iniatives, through quality networks, strong marketing experience and good governance towards realising FAAW's vision.
Closing date for submission of applications is 5pm EST, Friday 6th August.
The Foundation for Australian Agricultural Women (FAAW) is seeking 2 new Directors (male or female). We are seeking one director with strength in marketing and the other with strength in sales. Appointment would commence from our AGM in October 2010.

| Monthly committment: | 2 days per month |
| Meetings: | Every 2 months via teleconference |
| 2 Face-to-Face: strategic planning weekend and AGM per year (October and February) |

| Remuneration: | The position is voluntary but travel costs for the face-to-face are reimbursed |
| Executive positions: | President is rotated every two years. The Treasurer and Secretary positions are allocated commensurate with experience but are also rotated to give directors experience and an appreciation of the roles. |
A. KEY POSITION RESULTS
Effectively contribute to the image and position of FAAW
Identify and develop long term relations with key stakeholders including media, corporate and government at a national and international level; develop strategies and programs that actively contribute to the vision of FAAW; attend selected seminars and conferences on behalf of FAAW.
Contribute to the financial performance of FAAW
Contribute to the long-term financial sustainability of the organisation, through creative sale process initiatives to increase the Foundations online activity coupled with good risk management understanding.
Effectively contribute to the strategic initiatives
Actively contribute to development of collaborative networks with strategic partners, with a long term perspective, who identify with the vision of the organisation.
B. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS AND POSITION EVALUATION
Education:
Post secondary
Experience:
Demonstrable experience & commitment to social justice issues
Demonstrated understanding of sales and marketing, including brand awareness
Demonstrated ability to initiate projects/programs
Demonstrated ability to be a team player
Preferably some management experience in a service business
Knowledge and empathy with rural women and issues surrounding this demographic
Understanding of good governance practices
Well networked
Skills/Abilities:
Good communication and networking skills
Good understanding of financials
Knowledge of Director's duties and responsibilities
Excellent written and verbal presentation skills
Good people management skills
Good negotiation skills
Demonstrated project management
Experience with computer applications including word/excel and internet/web (broadband access)

5. The interview panel will consist of 3 past and present Directors of FAAW.
6. You will be notified within one week of your interview.
7. Upon acceptance of the director position you will be forwarded an induction package.
8. Your appointment will go to a meeting of members for voting at the AGM in October.
