Teleworking – Building capacity, Sustaining Rural and Regional Communities, and Creating Opportunities for Women was a research project conducted for the Foundation of Australian Agricultural Women (FAAW).
The project followed on from the Australian Teleworking Advisory Committee enquiry conducted by the Federal Government in 2005 which recommended that the Government support the adoption and uptake of telework in Australia. In order to highlight the potential of telework for women in rural, regional and remote Australia FAAW made a submission to ATAC.
The project was funded by the Australian Government Office for Women under the Women’s Leadership and Development Programme and had invaluable guidance from a steering committee.

FAAW has set up an email discussion group through Yahoo groups called FAAW rural telework to discuss issues and opportunities relating to telework for rural women. Those subscribed are welcome to raise or respond to any topic thread related to rural teleworking.
